Serendipity

The basis of this series is in paintings with a thick skin and sharp cuts, such as those I made from 2009 to 2012. That skin turned out to be fine to use as a stamp for simple printing techniques. A painting thus becomes a tool. After a series of 4 or 5 prints in different colours, the 'stamp' inadvertently returned as a standalone work of art. A case of serendipity.
