Simple Monochrome - large format

This series is part of the larger Simple Monochrome series. In monochrome watercolour, with simple shapes and gestures I investigate what water, pigment and paper want to show 'naturally'. This natural expressiveness forms a field of tension with the gestures with which the paint is applied.

With these large formats of 113 and 153 cm wide paper, the watercolor paints itself even more. More fluid and larger bubbles provide a more dynamic field of flow and pigment fringes.
